The person in the center and filling the whole photo is me, Karen Lingel (note from Arnold: aka the famous SDSTAFF Karen!—author of such fine columns as What is antimatter? How was it discovered? and Is it possible to create a science fiction-type force field?). It was taken Jan 2, 2006. (But my hair is back to the same length again.) I am taking a black–and–white self–portrait of myself for art purposes.
